He was predeceased by: his wife Janice Adams Parks; his parents, Noah Walter Parks and Ila Dessie Anthony Parks; his grandson Juan Parks; his daughter-in-law Mary Parks; and his brother Kenneth Parks.

He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Parks (Marcia) and Michelle Minor (Paul); and his grandchildren, Taylor Minor, Byron Parks, Zachary Swartzwelder and Heidi Swartzwelder. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
