It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerry Garner Sr. of Morehead City, North Carolina, who passed away on June 2, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gherman Garner and Rosa Garner; his stepfather A. B. Garner; his brother Ronnie Garner; and his half-brother Bruce Edward Garner.

He is survived by: his wife Ann L. Garner of Morehead City; his children, Gerry Miquel Garner Jr. of Morehead City, Willard Garner and Rosie Garner McNeill of Atlantic Beach; and his half-sister Gail Guthrie of Newport. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
