He was predeceased by: his parents, George Briggs and Rhoda Briggs; his son Timothy Andrew Briggs; and his siblings, Lilly Briggs and William Briggs.
He is survived by: his wife Rene Briggs; and his sons, Michael Robert Briggs of Hawaii and Jonathon Nigel Briggs of Sneads Ferry, NC. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
In keeping with the CDC guidelines pertaining to the Coronavirus, those who are ill or at-risk (elderly, immune-compromised) are encouraged to stay home.
