He is survived by: his children, Melodie Jones Adams (Sam) of Morehead City, NC, Memorie Jones Wadsworth (Albert) of Manalapan, FL, Meredith Jones Emerson (Todd) of Atlanta, GA and Gene Curtis "Curt" Jones Jr. (Stephanie) of Pikeville, NC; and his grandchildren, Austin Curtis Jones and Ansley Rae Emerson.
