He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Priest Oglesby and Dorothy Bedsworth Oglesby; and his sisters, Garnetta Gent, Marcy Lewis, Carolyn Giaimo and Barbara Ann Hartness.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Pace Oglesby; his brother Daniel Clark Oglesby of Morehead City; and his sister-in-law Lucille Pace Winstead. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
