He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Jean C. Murdoch; his children, Jennifer Murdoch Griffin (Robert Steven Griffin) of Newport, NC and Alton Edward Murdoch (Stephanie Murdoch) of Bailey, NC; his brothers, William Murdoch of Newport, NC and Mac Murdoch of Newport, NC; and his grandchildren, Thomas Murdoch, Christina Murdoch, Christopher Murdoch and Kiley Griffin.
