With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Durward Lewis (Morehead City, North Carolina), born in Beaufort, North Carolina, who passed away on February 21, 2020 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nat Lewis and Lena Dixon Lewis; his wife Marcy Oglesby Lewis; his siblings, Lenwood Earl Lewis and Patricia Ann Lewis; and his children-in-law, Wanda S. Lewis and Bradley Lawrence.
He is survived by: his children, Terri Sue Lewis Lawrence of Beaufort, Durward Ray Lewis of Newport and Michael Alan Lewis (Cindy) of Cambridge, MA; his grandchildren, Barry Day of Morehead City, Robert Lewis (Kimberly) of Haines City, FL, Heather Lewis DiRezze (Andrew) of Calabash, Michael Lewis, II of Manhattan Beach, CA and Caitlin Lewis Wong (Paul) of Framingham, MA; his great grandchildren, Jeremy Lewis of Charlotte, Nathan Lewis of Havelock, Cameron Lewis of Arlington, MA, Jackson and Nixon DiRezze of Calabash; his great great grandchild Mikaela Lewis of Charlotte; and his brothers-in-law, Edwin Oglesby (Doris) of Morehead City and Daniel Oglesby of Morehead City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
