He was predeceased by: his parents, James Frederick Sr. and Mary Thompson; and his brother James Frederick Thompson Jr. of Laurinburg, NC.. He is survived by: his wife Nell Thompson; his son Ashley (Jenni) of Midlothian, VA; his grandsons, Scott and Kevin; his daughter Nikki (James Kilburn) of Greenville, NC; his brother David (Carol) of Saluda, NC; his nieces, Susan Kuller, Dawn Ohlendorf (California) and Sherri Gamble (Washington); and his brother-in-law Steven Thomas (Nancy) of South Boston, VA.
Due to COVID, a private memorial was held on Tuesday, February 9th.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 1604 Arendell Street, Morehead City, NC 285557.
