He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Stevens and Gertrude Stevens; his brother Jerry Stevens; and his stepdaughters, Karen Whealton and Donna Carty.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Stevens; his children, Sondra Villalvavo of Dunn, NC, Donnie Stevens (Wandra) of Raleigh, NC and James Stevens of Austin, TX; his stepchildren, Denise Rhodes (Bill) of Evansville, IN, Michele Maier of Newport, NC and Michael Mellen of Mill Creek, NC; and his brother William Stevens (Sue) of Wrightsville Beach, NC. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Due to the current social restrictions surrounding the Coronavirus, a funeral service at Reece's Chapel will be announced at a later date.
