With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Demaris Washington of Morehead City, North Carolina, who passed away on February 4, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Denet and Mazie Denet; her former husband Joseph Sr. of Washington; her daughter Ava Godette; and her siblings, Bevelyn Price, Bernard and Rudolph Denet.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Jr. (Denise) of Newport and Josie Nanton of Miami, FL; and her sisters-in-law, Page Campbell of Greensboro and Dorothy James of Alabama. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives.
