He was predeceased by: his parents, J. W. Lindsay and Helen R. Lindsay; his daughter Laura Lindsay Drewyor of Virginia; and his brothers, John William Lindsay II and Richard S. Lindsay.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie B. Lindsay; his children, David Lindsay Jr. of Newport and Anne Lindsay of Morehead City; and his grandson John Richard Drewyor of Atlanta.
