He is survived by: his sons, Charles Wayne "Chuck" Maxwell Jr. of Morehead City, NC and Christopher "Scott" Maxwell (Christi) of Beaufort, NC; his grandchildren, Sydney Maxwell McKenzie (Brit) of Rogers, AR and Caitlin Maxwell Bostwick (Hunter) of Cary, NC; and his great grandchildren, John Brittain McKenzie Jr., Palmer Grace McKenzie, Thomas Winfield McKenzie, Barnes Alexander McKenzie, Jackson Wade Bostwick and William Hudson Bostwick.
