He was predeceased by: his grandparents, William Harvey Taunton, Aura Baker Taunton, Paul Edward Collier Sr. and Lelia Armistead Collier; and his parents, Paul Edward Collier Jr. and Helen Taunton Collier.
He is survived by: his significant other Carol Sharp Collier; his children, Charles Lee Collier Jr. of Morehead City and Elizabeth Collier Scott (Robert Edward Jr.) of Portsmouth, VA; his grandchildren, Tyler Colby, Charles Lee III (Corinthian), David Kyle, Jacob Dean, Nelson Boyd, Robert Edward III and Cora Elizabeth; his great grandchildren, Addison Elizabeth, Nathan Lee, Rowan Lee and Emilia Rin; and his brothers, Glenn Edward Collier of Ellerslie, GA and Richard Selwyn Collier (Ruby) of Tallassee, AL. He is also survived by 6 sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
