He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen Mason; his son Gerald Mason; his parents, John Mason and Gertrude Pittman Mason; and his siblings, Pearl M. Wester, Gertrude Mason, Clarence Mason and Preston Mason.
He is survived by: his son Gilbert Mason (Cara) of Beaufort; and his grandchildren, Hailey Mason and Zoey Mason.
