She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Robert and Pearl Johnson Martin; her husband James Wade Barefoot; and her brother Bondell Martin. She is survived by: her children, James Darnay Barefoot (Pam) of Goldsboro and Deirdre Martin Barefoot Briley (Kenneth) of Greenville; her grandsons, Robert (Blake) of Williamston, William (Hunter) of Greenville and Jonathan (Melanie) of Brevard; and her great grandchildren, Lauren and Clara.
