He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Whitaker and Holly Whitaker; his brother Van Whitaker (Elaine Whitaker); and his daughter Donna Berthrong. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Whitaker; his daughter Teresa Whitmyer (Steve); and his grandchildren, Holly, Jackson Whitmyer, Katherine Sanders (Alan) and Sara Jane Cartwright. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
