He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert S. Taylor Sr. and Nannie Garner Taylor; his former wife Norma Taylor; and his siblings, Ramona Russell, Inez Guthrie, Carrie Holland, Georgia Waters, Leola Smith, Ruby Sutton, Myrtle Mann, Edith McNeil, Vernon Taylor and Aaron Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Taylor; his children, Patricia Godwin (Robert) of Bogue, Frank Taylor (Johanna) of Raleigh and Albert Taylor (Carol) of Bogue; his grandchildren, Sharon Whealton (John), Brian Godwin (Criss), Carl Taylor (Melissa), Michael Taylor, Melissa Randles (Darnell) and Laura Malone (Chris); and his great grandchildren, Kristyn Godwin, Emily Godwin, Taylor Whealton, Caleb Taylor, Ella Taylor, Daysha Martin, Alec Malone, Connor Malone, Raymond Malone and Lilly Malone.
