She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Medlin Hazelwood and William Lafayette Hazelwood, Sr.; and her sister Bootsie of Roanoke Rapids, NC.. She is survived by: her husband James B "Jim" Willis, Jr.; her brother William "Bill" Hazelwood of Harbinger, NC; her daughter Lynne Willis Braxton of Winterville, NC; her granddaughter Jessi Braxton Emanuel (Bryan); her great grandchild Charlotte of Chocowinity, NC; her granddaughters, Ally Braxton of Wilmington, NC, Roxie Braxton Weaver (Dewey) of Sullivan's Island, SC and Darci Braxton; her great grandchild Raelyn of Wilmington, NC; and her friend Jeanie Liggins of Wendell, NC.
