It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alan Johnston (Morehead City, North Carolina), born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, who passed away on September 14, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Leslie Primmer and Robert William Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Georgia Minnich; his brother Glenn Morgan (Peggy); his son Scott Johnston (Maureen); his grandchildren, Fintan and Teagan; his daughter Kelly (Shawn); and his grandchildren, Ryan (Anna), Shane, Connor, Jack Minnich (Bailey), Kathryn and Evie.

In lieu of flowers, if you wish to make a donation in his name, consider giving to the NC Aquarium Society for Crystal Skipper Butterfly Research and Habitat Restoration project.

“It with great sorrow i recently hear of Alan’s passing. I can easily recount the many years I played soccer under his coaching for Ocean Twp HS. from 1968 thru 1973. He was always a good man who cared about those he taught and coached. Rusty Lameo 73 OTHS”
