She was predeceased by: her parents, David Taylor, Sr. and Mildred Jeanette Barnes; and her brother Zaris Taylor. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Edward Boyd, III; her son Reginald M. Garland (Janet) of Hickory; her grandchildren, Diahjia S. Garland of Charlotte, Kiya L. Garland of Charlotte and Ryan M. Garland of Hickory; her great grandchild Dailend S. Garland of Charlotte; and her siblings, Jackie Battle of Union, NJ, Tracy R. Barnes, Sonya D. Barnes of Winston-Salem, Marilyn Jackson, David Taylor, Jr. and Larry Taylor.
