He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Spurgeon and Lestie Gay Wallace Lowe; and his siblings, Bertha Helton, Nellie Bates, Ethel Cox, Mary Watson, Dorothy Lail, Shirley Cannon, Richard Lowe, Leonard Lowe, Henry Mack Lowe and Spurgeon Lowe, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Jean Moretz Lowe; his daughters, Chastity Van Combs (Joey) of Millers Creek and Pamela Lee of Moravian Falls; his grandchildren, Mia and Kyle Combs; and his brother Bill Lowe of Taylorsville.
