He was predeceased by: his mother Judy Ann Shumate; his grandfather Albert Gwyn Shumate; and his brother Justin Lee Eller. He is survived by: his grandmother Jennie Lee Shumate of Moravian Falls; and his aunts, Pauline Johnson (Tony), Wanda Shew (Danny) and Reba Bumgarner (Dicky).
