He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Lester Mixon and Mary Sue Golden Mixon; and his siblings, Clarence Lester Mixon Jr., Sandra Joyce Mixon Jagger and Shelia Ann Mixon.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Sherry Poe; his children, Brenda Poe of North Wilkesboro, James "Bo" Poe III of Anaheim and Anthony Nicolas of Charlotte, NC; and his siblings, Linda Bradley of California, Carol Mixon of Texas, Robert Mixon of California, Marilyn DeMarco of Idaho and Pamela Halliday of California.
