He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Jehu and Zella Tevepaugh Hendren; and his siblings, Jim, Donald, Max, John Hendren, Gladys Campbell, Betty Rufty, Janie Reid and Martha Childers.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Hopkins Hendren; his children, Kimberly Caudill (Rodney) of Moravian Falls, Barry Hendren (Kathy) of Weaverville and Joel Hendren (Jessica) of Traphill; his siblings, Libby Oliver of Stony Point, JoAnn Powers of Oak Ridge, Sally Moore of Moravian Falls, William Hendren of Greensboro and Roger Hendren of Moravian Falls; his grandchildren, Ashley Hendren (Bill Boggs), Nathaniel Caudill, Adalynn Hendren, Brooke Johnson and Brandon Riddle; his great grandchildren, Marley Riddle and Miles Riddle; and his sisters-in-law, Rhoda Hendren of Moravian Falls and Elrea Hendren of Wilkesboro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
