She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladys Smithey and Don Miller; her son Michael Wayne Miller; and her siblings, Gail Smithey, Jackie Miller and Billy Smithey.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Smithey; her children, Erin Anniebeth Barnett (Marcus) of North Wilkesboro, Slick Smithey (Kaylee) of Moravian Falls and Daniel Smithey of Moravian Falls; her daughter-in-law Stacey Key of Moravian Falls; her grandchildren, Maselyn Barnett, Meredith Barnett, Makenzie Barnett, Ginni "Poodle" Key, Seth Smithey, Caleb Smithey, Jalen Smithey, Bubbles Smithey and Bambam; and her siblings, Joyce Bounds of Roaring River and Junior Miller of Rock Creek.
