He is survived by: his children, Paula Dishmon of Taylorsville, Pennie Norman (William) of Wilkesboro, Tommy Curtis Blackburn of Wilkesboro and Mark Graden Russell (Laura) of Millers Creek; his grandchildren, Holly Bishop (William) of Wilkesboro, Heather Sipek of Lenoir, Christalynn Russell of Lenoir, Corey Dishmon, Kayla Dishmon, Shawn Dishmon of Taylorsville, Jimmie Patterson, Bryson Patterson, Emily Patterson and Hannah Patterson of Millers Creek; his great grandchildren, Skylar Sipek, Brinley Oxentine and Graylin Oxentine; and his sister Alta Steele of Boomer.
