With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elrea Hendren (Moravian Falls, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 19, 2024 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elrea Hendren to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vertie Marlow and Elda Anderson Marlow; her husband Max G. Hendren; her daughter Karen Hendren Billings; and her siblings, Keith Marlow and Arlene Lawson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janice Hendren Hamby (Burl) and Kathy Hendren Hobbs (Steve); her son-in-law Jerry Billings; her grandchildren, Beth Sanford, Nathan Walsh (Debra), Kristen Hobbs (Courtney), Donna Billings Simpson (Mike) and Robert Billings (Judy); her friend Jan Billings; and her family Max. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bethany Baptist Church - Moravian Falls (7930 Brushy Mountain Rd, Moravian Falls, NC 28654). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at the same location.
