He was predeceased by: his parents, Kelsie Taylor and Dessie Cox Taylor; his wife Janice Marie Medley Taylor; and his brothers, David Taylor, Clayton Taylor and Fred Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Mathis (Darren) of Hays and Tim Taylor of Moravian Falls; his grandsons, Timothy Taylor, Levi Taylor, Eric Mathis, Brent Mathis and Heath Mathis; and his great grandchildren, Peyton Mathis, Parker Mathis, Colton Mathis and Tucker Mathis.
