He was predeceased by: his wife Marion Graham Smith; his sons, Terry L. Smith and Eubert Dale Smith; and his brothers, Glen Smith and Larry Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy E. Smith (Faith) of Mooresville and Cynthia S. Johnson (Danny) of Hamptonville; his sister Peggy Stafford of Mooresville; his grandchildren, Wendy Kilby (Presley), Joseph Smith, Daniel Johnson, Hunter Johnson, Debra Smith, Dustin Smith (Chelsea) and Kassey Smith; and his great grandchildren, Alan, Tynnleigh Kilby, Jolee Skye Smith, Christian, Leiland Dawson and Jaxson Smith.
