He was predeceased by: his father Hubert "Hub" Brown; his wife Betty Jean Brown (Bunton); and his siblings, Mary A. Brown, Tommy Brown, Ned Brown, Ted Brown (June), Marie B. Gregory (James) and Donald "Tooty" Brown (Maxine).
He is survived by: his siblings, Johnny "Gene" Brown of Mooresville, Irene B. Sherrill of Denver, NC and Joyce B. Overcash of Mooresville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
