He is survived by: his parents, Patrick McCord and Joan McCord; his brother Patrick "PJ" McCord; his wife Nancy McCord; his children, James McCord, Marissa McCord, Emily McCord and Michael McCord; his children-in-law, Christopher Sword and Kimberly McKeever; his grandsons, Fletcher and Greyson Sword; his sisters, Anne Sileo, Karen McCord Hill and Marybeth Flynn; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Flynn and Bob Sileo. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the North Carolina's Wildlife and Outdoor Recreation Foundation to support conservation efforts.
