It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Ilean Allen (Mooresville, North Carolina), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on May 30, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Joe; her son Gary; and her parents, Chester Gabsdell and Louise Gabsdell. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jennifer Thomas Hammett (Jeff), Shaun Thomas (Stephanie), Zach Francis (Alicia), Ashley Francis, Isaac Kaminsky and Noah Kaminsky; her great grandchildren, Chance, Kendall, Brooke, Audrey, Kamryn, Grady, Myles and Bennett; her sister Carol Schroeder of Tallahassee; and her brother-in-law Dick Allen (Jane) of Northport. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
