He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Hartsell and Ollie Smith Butler; and his brothers, William "Butch" Walker and Otis "Skeeter" Walker. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Gibbs Hartsell; his son Sammy Travis Hartsell (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Samantha, Victoria, Zachary and Porsha; his great grandchildren, Kaiden and Lacey; his daughter Tina Hartsell; his grandchildren, Seth and Morgan Beam; his son Shane Hartsell (Kristine); his grandchildren, Easton and Paisley Hartsell; and his sisters, Shirley Walker Maddox, Sue Walker Gamble and Jeanne Butler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
