It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Shoemaker of Mooresville, North Carolina, who passed away on March 21, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Doctor Alvin Willis; her husband Evan Shoemaker; her granddaughters, Deborah Clanton and Denna Davidson; her great grandchild Hunter Thompson; and her son-in-law Tommy Overcash.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Davidson (Robbie), Judy Overcash and Cathy Burchette (Bobby); and her siblings, Grady Willis (Willie), Ray Willis (Marie), Gene Willis (Velma "Cissy") and Hazel Thompson Hagler. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
