She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Blackwelder and Truetta Armstrong Blackwelder of Mooresville; her aunt Pinkie Armstrong; and her siblings, Hubert Blackwelder, Annie Blackwelder Crabb, James Blackwelder, Betty Blackwelder Pierce and Kenneth Blackwelder (Bobbie) of Clemmons, NC.

She is survived by: her husband Bill Torrence; her daughter Renee Torrence Dulin (John) of Troutman, NC; her grandchildren, Anna Dulin Milholland (Joel) of Williamsburg, VA and Rev. John William Dulin, III of Troutman, NC; her great grandchild Graylynn Milholland; her sister-in-law Sue Crabb of Mooresville; and her close friends, Bobbie Childers, Margaret Hurlocker, Hazel Blackmon, Gene and Cissy Willis. She is also survived by mother and grandmother, and she doted on her grandchildren.
