He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Harold Metty and Margaret Schaefer Metty; and his brothers, Kenneth Metty and Arthur Metty. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Russo Cervini Metty; his daughter Dawn Mastrandrea (Frank); his grandchildren, Erin, Anthony and Vincent; his daughter Veronica Gonzalez (Jose); his grandchildren, Joey, Todd and Faith; his daughter Cynthia Metty; his stepson Celestino Cervini (Jill); his stepgrandchildren, Vincent Cervini (Hannah), Vanessa Cervini and Dominic Cervini; his stepdaughter Carol Cervini-Wong (Allen); his stepgrandson James Cervini (Gabriela); his stepdaughter Helen Mavellia (Wayne I); his stepgrandchildren, Juliana Mavellia and Wayne Mavellia II; his stepdaughter Rose Schoendorf; his stepgrandchildren, Joey Schoendorf and Alexa Schoendorf; his sister-in-law Linda Metty; his nephews, Kenny Metty and Brian Metty; and also, Sofia, Damian Cervini and Kehlani Baylor.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home (494 E Plaza Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115). A Mass was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Therese Catholic Church (217 Brawley School Rd, Mooresville, NC 28117).
