He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil S. Bishop and Doris Bickmore Bishop; his siblings, Paul Bishop and Margaret Webb; and his former wife Priscilla Bishop.

He is survived by: his wife Lorna M. Bishop; his children, Rhonda Wood of Stockton Springs, ME, Candy Slack of Rutland, VT and Roy Bishop of Colchester, VT; his granddaughters, Haley, Hannah, Maddie and Emily; his great grandchild Sloan; his brother Jake Bishop of Hadley, MA.; and also, David Venderbush of New York, NC, Jennifer Lyons of Belgium, WI and Kristin Venderbush.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Lake Norman, 705 Griffith Street, Suite 203, Davidson, NC 28036.
