He was predeceased by: his sister Judith Gail Templeton (Phillips). He is survived by: his wife Katherine Stanley Phillips; his sons, Brian S. Phillips of Suwanee, GA and Todd S. Phillips (Jenny) of Charleston, SC; and his nieces, Amanda Heidinger (Doug) of Charlotte and Lisa Holleman (Tim) of Gibsonville, NC.
