He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Stephanie; his daughter Vida; his parents, Beth Shumaker and Mikie Shumaker; his uncle Bill; his aunt Glenda Mintz; his grandmother Vida Ruth "Mawmaw" Mintz; and his siblings, David, Christopher and Nicole.
