It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Darlene Blackwelder of Mooresville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 9, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Newton Hagler and Georgia Lee Ingram; her brothers, Larry Hagler and Kenneth Hagler; and her son Freddie "Bobby" Burleson.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Blackwelder; her pet Bud; her siblings, James "Jimmy" Hagler and Kathy Alexander (Scott); her daughters, Ann Hagler, Annette Morrow (Bryan) and Shelley Weddington; her grandchildren, Tony Burleson (Eva), Christen Dellinger (Chris), Shelbey Lowman (Robbie), Hunter Jones (Brandon) and Kamdon Blake; and her great grandchildren, Kyle, Chelsey, Shawn and Dawson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
