“Mr. S probably never knew the entent to which he made our childhood memories great! He had a rough, snarky exterior, but, as an adult now, we know how much he cared for us. Throughout the winter our families skied and snowmobiled together almost every weekend. There may have been a time or two when we left Mr. S on the ski slope because our skies just wouldn't go slow enough to stay with him. But, over 40+ years, he NEVER let us live that down!”

“The Slavinski's were the best neighbors ever! Mr. S could figure out how to do ANYTHING! He and our dad spent many summer weekends landscaping their yards and working on their swimming pools. It was like a competition...mostly Mr. S giving our dad ideas, and then Mr. S helping our dad implement them! We were always welcomed in the Slavinski house, met with a smile, consoled and supported, as if we were family. That continues today.”
