He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth C. Hollister and Dorothy C. Hollister; and his brother Daniel Hollister. He is survived by: his sisters, Martha Fulmer (Greg) of Goose Creek and Margaret Moser of San Diego, California; and his nieces and nephews, Monica Wisdom, Deanna Johnson, Mark Shuping and Jeffrey Moser.
