Rebecca Blackwelder Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rebecca Blackwelder (Mooresville, North Carolina), who passed away on July 29, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Joshua Brooks and Lola Mae Wallace Brooks; her son Tommy Blackwelder; her sisters, Norma Brooks Funderburk and Ruth Brooks McCachren; her niece Myra McCachren Carrigan; and her son-in-law Seth Overcash.
She is survived by: her children, Jenny Capps (Ron), Beth Howard (Arnie), Susan Overcash and Dean Blackwelder; her daughter-in-law Renee Blackwelder; and her sister Myra Brooks Gray (Dan). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren.
The family is asking those attending visitation to wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Andy Thompson Scholarship Fund at Triplett United Methodist Church or the general fund of Triplett UMC, 838 Mazeppa Rd., Mooresville, NC 28115.
