He is survived by: his wife Diane Virginia Rosen; his sons, Michael Phillips (Cathy) of Huntersville, NC and Jason Phillips (Heather) of Statesville, NC; his siblings, Jean, Paul, Larry and Cecil; his grandchildren, Joseph (Lydia), Kara (Jonathan), Hannah, Aliza Jae and Thomas; his great grandchildren, Jack, Madi and Henry; and his friend Barbara McMurrey.
