He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel Burns and Elva Ledford Burns; his siblings, Douglas, Kenneth Burns, Stella Hurst and Carol Newman; his stepsister Betty Ruth Phibbs; and his grandson Hudson.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Worley Burns; his children, Heather Burns, Heath Burns (Stacy) and Alice B. Lauer (John); his sister Virginia Barger (Raymond); his sister-in-law Phyllis Burns; his grandchildren, Kaitlin, Grayson, Addyson, Cohen, Charlee and Levi; and his children, Shriners and Charlotte. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
