She was predeceased by: her parents, Doy A. Edwards and Claudia Smith Edwards; her husband Paul A. Scarborough; and her children, Faye W. Krimminger and Robert Scarborough.

She is survived by: her sons, Lonnie G. Williams of Mooresville, Ronnie D. Williams of Salisbury and Ronald Scarborough of Concord; and her siblings, Hilda E. Chester (Lewis) of Mooresville, Alice Martin of Mooresville, Irene Ashley of Mooresville, Shirly Barry (Bill) of Mooresville, Joe Edwards of Locust, Jerry A. Edwards (Rachel) of Wilmington, Bill Edwards of Mooresville and Donald R. Edwards (Kim) of Mooresville.
