She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Rowe and Bessie Beck Latham; and her husband William Harding Benson. She is survived by: her brother Robert Latham (Phyllis); her children, Barbara Jean York (Tad Herrin) of Huntersville and Samuel Kimbrough Benson (Stephanie) of Waynesville; her grandsons, Latham York (Taylor), Christian York (Grace Duff) and Jett Benson; her stepgrandchildren, TJ Herrin, Chris Herrin (Liz), Olivia Kashuba (Mike) and Nick Goodwin; and her great grandchildren, Ocie York, Margot Bea Kashuba, Lily and Luke Herrin. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lambert Funeral Chapel (635 Wilkesboro St, Mocksville, NC 27028). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
