She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Cecil and Frances Payne Cox; her grandson Matthew J. Taylor; and her siblings, Nancy Hale and James Cox.

She is survived by: her children, Kim Baker (Tim) of Westminster, SC, Joanna Roewart (Barney) of Mooresville and Steve Wert (Katherine) of Lake Mary, FL.; her sister Patsy Henderson of Rossville, GA; and her grandchildren, Stefanie Swackhamer (Brian) of Daniel Island, SC, Emily Roewart, Hannah Roewart of Mooresville, NC, Sarah Wert and Marcus Wert of Lake Mary, FL.. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
