She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse McNeely Cowan and Catherine Gouger Cowan; her siblings, Jesse McNeely Cowan, Jr., Charles Robert Cowan, Ruth Cowan Pierce and Catherine Louise Cowan; and her nephew Jon Randall Cowan (Randy).
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Claudine Hyman (Kathe), Kerry B. Cowan, Judy C. Morrow, C. William Pierce (Bill), Elizabeth P. Manoso (Beth), Charles C. Pierce and Catherine R. Pierce (Cathy). She is also survived by six great nephews, two great nieces, three great-great-nieces and two great-great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Centre Presbyterian Church, 129 Centre Church Road, Mooresville, NC 28117.
