Lucille Thompson Deaton Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lucille Thompson Deaton of Mooresville, North Carolina, who passed away on March 31, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Eva Thompson Towell; her husband Robert Deaton; her daughter Lynda Keller; her brothers, Teddy Towell, Ronnie Towell and Dan Combs; and her niece Dana Barfield.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Brannon and Sheila Atwell (Mike); her grandchildren, Meredith Hicks (Landon), Hailey Brannon, Ashley Willard (Joseph), Jade Brannon, Phillip Atwell (Carolyn) and Blaine Willard (Dani); her sisters, Jean Gibson and Joan Combs; and her sisters-in-law, Melody and Joanne.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Central United Methodist Church (214 N Academy St, Mooresville, NC 28115). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Glenwood Memorial Park (273 Glenwood Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 214 North Academy Street, Mooresville, NC 28115.
